If you are kettle corn fan and want to know how to make kettle corn here is a great place for you. Before you finish reading you will know exactly what to do to enjoy a great tasting kettle corn.

The first thing you should consider before you actually start preparing the kettle corn is how you are going to prepare it. There are a couple of different ways in which you can do it. The first method is the traditional method where you use a stove. The other way in which you can do it is to use a microwave. A hot air popcorn popper is another utensil you can use. And another device that you can use is a popcorn popper machine, which may  be a great idea if you have a lot of friends who love kettle corn. But no matter no way you choose to prepare your kettle corn, one thing is sure, you need a kettle corn recipe. Here it is:

By the way, we assume you will be preparing the kettle corn in a traditional way this time, using a stove and a pot. So, these are the things you require to make kettle corn: a pot with a cover, ¼ cup of popcorn kernels, ½ cup of vegetable oil, 3 tablespoon of sugar (white or brown, but brown will give the popcorn a more caramel taste), and salt . The pot should have as high walls as possible (the higher the better). Using a low pot may not be the best idea because if you do that you are going to have a mess all over your kitchen. A great help may be a stovetop popcorn popper, which not only is high but also has a built in stirring mechanism that prevents sugar and popcorn from burning.

Directions:

1.Pour the vegetable oil into the pot and heat up

2. Toss in a couple of kernels into the pot (to check if the oil has the right temperature)

3. Once the kernels pop take the pot off the stove, add the rest of the kernels and sprinkle sugar on the top

4. Place the cover on the pot and put it back on the stove

5. Now, you want to stop the popcorn and sugar from burning so either shake the pot very often or lift the lid a little and stir constantly ( in this case some popcorn will jump out of the pot ). If you don't like shaking the pot all the time or popcorn jumping out of the pot a stovetop popcorn popper may help you.

6. When the popping slows and the popcorn pops once in a couple of seconds take the pot off the stove and keep on shaking or stirring for the next minute or so till it gets a little cooler.

7. Pour the popcorn into a bowl

8. Break the popcorn clumps into smaller pieces

9. Sprinkle salt on top and leave for 3-5 minutes

10. Enjoy Your Kettle Corn!
